Handshake + Hug

In person, talking to complete strangers about things like what you like to eat, how much you love Jesus or how you raise your babies isn’t exactly commonplace. But online, that stranger danger lens goes out the window and we get enveloped in someone’s innermost thoughts without even knowing their name (or caring to). Weird how that works.

Well, I don’t want to be another nameless stranger person you read from. Let’s be friends. Let’s fist bump, chest bump or shake hands with a real introduction before we get to talking about everything else.

So, allow me to introduce myself and give you more of a friends-eye-view of me if you will-

My name is Brittany, laundry is my enemy..there’s a huge pile of clean clothes in the corner that need to be put away as we speak, I’m not good at wearing shoes or remembering to put them on before I leave the house, I have a husband who’s super quiet and I’m super not (anyone else paired up like that?), I’m a studying Apologist putting my degree on hold to homeschool my babies, I used to hate doing the dishes until God gave me the wisdom to know that even while scrubbing crusty dishes I’m standing on holy blessed ground.

And you’re totally probably thinking “What the cracker jack do you mean your kitchen is Holy ground?!”

This is the work He gave me. This is the ministry He entrusted me with. Dishes, laundry, husband, home and children are my blessings and if I’m walking in obedience to Christ then the ground I’m on is indeed blessed because He has set me there.

In this space I write about the power of God, motherhood, recipes, health, and everyday homemaking ideas with the guidance, provisions and grace of God as a constant thread in the tapestry.

I hope that fills in some blanks for you about me and I’d love to hear about you as well.

Hey y'all! My name's Brittany, I'm a mother of two on a mission to raise up women of virtue and strength, keep our home in one piece (and somewhat put together) and bake to my heart's content. I believe that children should spend more time outside, lawn chairs are underrated, and Full-fat butter is necessary in all things. In this space I write about the power of God, motherhood, recipes, health and everyday homemaking ideas with the guidance, provisions and grace of God as a constant thread in the tapestry. As I carry out and stay faithful in my calling to be a mother, wife, and steward of His many blessings, I am truly standing on blessed ground...and yes, absolutely barefoot. ✌️
